Broker strengthens Bury St Edmunds commercial insurance team
Author: Richard Hartley, 13 November 2007.
East Anglian
insurance broker Alan Boswell Group has strengthened the management team at its new Bury St Edmunds office with the recruitment of Adrian Rayner and Dan Brown, both formerly of Alliance Insurance Management.
With Rayner and Brown on board, Boswell's Bury office now includes a team of 5
commercial insurance brokers, all of whom previously worked together at Alliance. Director Andrew Terry is confident that this familiarity will enable the new branch to become effective more quickly: "Having worked together for several years, we each know the strengths of our colleagues and we are used to working as a team. Adrian and Dan joining us seemed very much like a natural progression."
Adrian Rayner has 22 years of insurance broking experience and has been on the regional council of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) since 2004. At Alliance he dealt with corporate clients but was also responsible for compliance, human resources and training. He will be appointed Managing Director of Alan Boswell Insurance Management's new Bury operation.
Dan Brown was previously an account handler at Alliance Insurance Management. He has 10 years insurance experience with
Royal & Sun Alliance and
Axa Insurance before moving into commercial broking in 2005.
Valuable Broking Skills
Group chairman, Alan Boswell is delighted to have secured the services of Rayner and Brown: "When Adrian and Dan approached us about joining our newly established team at Bury St Edmunds we jumped at the opportunity. They bring years of commercial broking experience and some very valuable broking skills to the new team. These further high-calibre appointments add significant value to our business and demonstrate our commitment to clients in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas."
Rayner is similarly upbeat about the prospects for the new team: "Alan Boswell Group has built a great reputation as a dynamic and innovative organisation. I'm delighted to be joining the Group and am really looking forward to working with the new team."
The Bury office opened a month ago and according to Mr Boswell it is already handling a good volume of business insurance enquiries: "Bury St Edmunds is a great place to do business. There's strong demand for sound independent insurance and
risk management advice backed up by personal service and attention to detail."
