About this Landlords Association:
In 1989 a small number of Norwich Landlords formed a group which has since grown into a company limited by guarantee -The Eastern Landlords Association.
Membership is drawn from throughout East Anglia and now numbers hundreds of reputable private residential landlords who offer good quality accommodation.
The ELA represents the general views of the members to local authorities, national authorities, parliament and any other body which has jurisdiction over or an interest in the letting of private properties.
We consider all matters which affect private landlords in general and seek to promote such actions that will benefit the members and safeguard their interests, consistent with the maintenance of professional standards of conduct.
The Association is rapidly gaining recognition by local authorities in East Anglia who are now consulting with us regarding housing matters and with central government who seek our participation in issues affecting the private rented sector. We are also being asked to comment on Green Papers and Consultation documents.
About the Landlords Insurance Scheme:
The insurance scheme is well established providing for all members very competitive premiums combined with bespoke cover and first class administration. It is underwritten by Norwich Union Insurance with whom all members should feel comfortable. Participation in the scheme benefits the association financially, helping to keep subscription costs low, by utilising its bulk buying power.
