About this Landlords Association:
Sunderland Private Landlords Association (SPLA) are a non-profit making organisation consisting of private landlords renting and letting property in the Sunderland area.
The SPLA was formed in 1985 to discuss the collective interests of landlords and tenants alike. We have a constitution and a strict code of conduct ensuring that quality properties are available for all sectors of the rental sector from our members.
We aim to provide a professional responsible service to our members and tenants. Please note we are not an agency and have no tenancy rental fees.
We hold a register of available properties from SPLA members and introduce prospective tenants to our landlords where applicable.
Meetings are held monthly to discuss relevant topics and share experiences resulting in professional landlords and quality property management.
We welcome new members constantly and many benefits are available including discount schemes with approved suppliers, landlords insurance scheme, legal representation, investigations officer and legal forms/advisory.
About the Landlords Insurance Scheme:
The insurance scheme is well established providing for all members very competitive premiums combined with bespoke cover and first class administration. It is underwritten by NIG Corporation Limited Insurance with whom all members should feel comfortable. Participation in the scheme benefits the association financially, helping to keep subscription costs low, by utilising its bulk buying power.
