Norwich insurance broker plans expansion into Suffolk

Alan Boswell Group is well known in Norfolk as the county's largest independent general insurance broker and financial advisers but the brand is increasingly recognised across the UK as a major provider of landlords insurance for buy-to-let investors and property owners. Other specialist areas include a scheme for the hospitality trades (pub insurance, restaurant insurance and hotel insurance) and a home insurance scheme for gardening enthusiasts designed in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

Leading East Anglian insurance broker and independent financial adviser Alan Boswell Group today announced plans to expand into Suffolk. The Group, which has its head office in Norwich and a South-Norfolk branch at Attleborough, intends to open a new branch office in Suffolk to service business insurance clients in the county.

The exact location of the new office has not yet been decided but the company is already seeking applications from experienced insurance personnel. Managing director Alan Boswell explained: "We already have over 1000 clients based in the IP postcode area and Suffolk has always been a good area for us to do business in. Opening a branch office there will enable us to provide an even better service to current business insurance customers and target new commercial insurance clients in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex."

And when it comes to attracting the right kind of staff for the new venture, Mr Boswell is convinced that Suffolk is the place to look: "Like Norfolk, Suffolk has a ready supply of suitably skilled insurance personnel thanks to the number of insurers who have traditionally operated from Ipswich and other large Suffolk towns such as Haverhill. We will follow our established practice of bringing in commercial insurance staff of the very highest calibre to deliver the high standards of customer care that our clients expect."
