Healthcare and Personal Protection Insurance Sales Adviser

We are growing our Private Medical Insurance department (PMI) and looking to recruit an ambitious and experienced Healthcare Insurance Adviser to join Alan Boswell Insurance Brokers Ltd team in Norwich.

  • Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus benefits.
  • Full-Time
  • Field based – Home office / Norwich office

The role:

As Sales Adviser you will effectively manage a portfolio of existing clients and convert sales enquiries of new business leads and prospects to successfully achieve a range of business targets, including revenue growth, retention and quality. We have a large book of clients to deal with so you won’t need to source or bring clients with you.

You will need a proactive approach in managing and engaging with our clients and prospects, combined with detailed technical knowledge and understanding of products provided by our Healthcare and Personal Protection. A professional telephone manner and customer service skills are paramount.  It is desirable that you have worked in insurance field and that you wish to aspire in a sales environment. Product training can be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing expectations of the client’s demands and needs in a professional manner.
  • Meeting service level agreements with various clients.
  • Working within a team to balance the workload and work together.
  • Dealing with queries from clients and administration of existing business
  • Appointment making, diary- keeping, updating pipeline
  • Comply with Company Compliance

Requirements:

  • Understanding of a range of products within the healthcare arena
  • Willingness to learn
  • Computer skills – competence with using various software
  • Developing and maintaining technical knowledge and qualifications
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Exemplary Customer service skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a pressurised sales environment

Qualifications & Experience:

  • IF7 & IF1 exams desirable.
  • Experience of working in a similar customer service/sales environment in financial services
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar environment (desirable)
