Legal Information Modern Slavery Statement

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement.

Modern slavery is a crime and a fundamental breach of human rights.  It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Alan Boswell Group, and associated Group of Companies are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all their business dealings and relationships, and to continue to implement, monitor and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in the business or in any of our supply chains.

This statement applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees, directors, officers, agency workers, agents, contractors, external consultants, insurance companies and third party representatives.

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain.  This policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and we continue to implement, monitor and enforce systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chain.

We will continue to embed the principles through:

  • Providing awareness training on Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the appropriate action to take if they suspect a case of slavery or human trafficking.
  • The Whistleblowing policy should be used to instigate an action in relation to this statement.
  • Ensure that strategies and contract terms and conditions in relation to third party suppliers include reference to our stance in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking
  • Ensuring all the relevant employees who undertake a recruitment or procurement role receive training on modern slavery and ethical employment practices.
