Steve has more than 35 years of industry experience, starting his career in 1981 with Norwich Union in Hull as an underwriter in the Fire Department. In 1984 Steve moved into Loss Adjusting with Thomas Howell and Selfe dealing with many types of claims around the Humber and into North Yorkshire.

In 1988 he started his broking career with Alexander Stenhouse in Grimsby, moving on to Hull based Rixon Matthews and Appleyard and then to Towergate as a commercial department manager. In 2017 he joined Alan Boswell Insurance Advisors and began his second period of work south of the Humber.

Outside of work, Steve has a keen interest in rugby – playing regularly until his retirement from the game 20 years ago, and now enjoys walking, motorcycling and gardening.
