Alan Boswell Group
The Alan Boswell Group Charitable Trust continues to deliver on its commitment to make a difference to charitable causes in the areas that we operate in. We wanted to provide an update on the difference our donations are making to some of the charities.
In the last quarter, the Trust reviewed 99 applications and awarded over £149,000 in grants.
Here are some of the grants that were made:

NARS (Norfolk Accident Rescue Service)
£10,000 to update their onsite training facilities, including advanced training equipment, allowing the charity to continue offering extensive training to medics and the wider community.
We also received some fantastic feedback from charities that have received donations from the Trust in the past:
Age UK Norfolk
£10,000 donated in December 2025 to fund their Tide Turners project in Great Yarmouth
“The Tide Turners project continues to make a positive impact on older people in Great Yarmouth by helping residents improve financial wellbeing, increase independence, and reduce vulnerability.
“A key element of the project has been the provision of personalised advice and support. So far, 51 people have received in-depth information and advice, helping them navigate challenges relating to benefits, housing, finances, and later life planning. In addition, 19 people have accessed our Money MOT service, delivered across 43 individual sessions, providing tailored support with budgeting, financial literacy, debt management, and safe financial decision-making.
“Alongside one-to-one support, we have undertaken community outreach to raise awareness and engage local residents. This included a Money MOT themed community event, where we engaged with 20 people, providing practical information and encouraging individuals to seek further support where needed.
“The project is demonstrating strong demand for trusted, personalised support. Early outcomes indicate that older people are gaining greater confidence in managing their finances, accessing available support, and making informed decisions about later life. Through a combination of advice, financial wellbeing support, digital inclusion activity, and community outreach, Tide Turners is helping older residents feel safer, more connected, and better equipped to manage the challenges they face.
“As the project progresses, we will continue to expand our reach and build on these achievements, ensuring that older people across Great Yarmouth can access the support they need to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
“Thank you for your continued support of Age UK Norfolk.”
Arthur Rank Hospice
£5,000 donated in December 2025.
"This donation has helped to keep all beds open on the inpatient unit at Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge, some of which were at risk of closure. Last year we shared the news of funding to our services which put nine beds at risk.
”Thanks to a generous response to our campaign, we raised enough to keep all beds running for the next 12 months. Your donation of £5,000 was part of that response and we are incredibly grateful.
“By keeping all beds open at Arthur Rank Hospice, around 200 more people this year can receive care in a peaceful setting.”
