Account Executive

David has spent 35 years in the insurance industry ranging from various commercial underwriting duties, field development, offshore supervisory, management and broking.
His current duties with Alan Boswell Group incorporates managing an existing book of high net worth commercial clients including a number of Affinity groups ranging from teachers unions and their members to prison officers.

He actively engages with affinity members at conference forums and seminars and promotes a wide range of products and services to existing and new client base ranging from material damage, contract works, liability and marine cargo to professional indemnity.

Prior to working for the Group, David was the Branch manager for the NIG Norwich office responsible for supervising a local team of nine underwriters, one on site with a key broker. The responsibilities included operational effectiveness and profitability of the branch, identifying and providing learning and development opportunities for the team, agreeing annual targets and business plans and ensuring compliance of all local governance.

David has set up two antique centre businesses incorporating tea rooms, bar and architectural salvage and reclamation yard.

Any spare time is spent gardening, travelling and drinking good wine!
